T32MAX C32G: PRECISION GEARED FOR PROFESSIONALS

1. Insufficient maximum tripod height?

In product photography, achieving a maximum working height for a tripod is crucial to minimize perspective distortion. By positioning the camera higher, it allows for adequate distance between the lens and the subject, resulting in reduced distortion. This becomes especially important in architectural and interior shots where capturing vertical space, such as split-levels and atriums, is necessary. However, many tripods on the market fall short, with maximum heights below 1.7m, and geared tripods even lower, posing a challenge in meeting photography goals. The ROGETI® T32MAX, when paired with the C32G, effortlessly achieves a camera position over 2m high, making it highly convenient for product photography. Furthermore, the tripod can be further extended using the E32 series extension columns, making it an ideal choice for capturing architectural spaces in multi-purpose or banquet halls.  2. Insufficient center column travel?

If the number of leg sections needed can be accurately estimated, the desired height can be easily achieved by simply raising the center column. The travel distance of the center column determines its height adjustment capability. The shorter the center column, the greater the likelihood of needing to reset the leg sections. We shoud be aware that if the tripod's center column travel is less than the height variation corresponding to fully extending one leg section, it means that some certain height intervals cannot be achieved by extending entire leg sections—these height intervals are referred to as the tripod's "height blind spots."

Many tripods,  including professional-grade ones, may have height blind spots, especially geared tripods, where the center column travel is often below 30cm, and even below 20cm. In product photography, center column travel is crucial as it often requires moving the tripod backward while simultaneously raising the center column. Insufficient center column travel may lead to the need for readjusting the leg sections, which can be a tedious process when the camera is attached.

3. Trying to produce a lift camera movement on a geared tripod, but experiencing a lot of shaking?
Elevate the geared center column to its max, and shake it manually when the lock loosened. If it moves about, it may shake while in motion. Additionally, many geared tripods experience issues such as jerky movements, difficulty sustaining an even speed, and significant differences in damping when rising versus falling. While these problems are not a concern when capturing static photographs, they can be problematic when shooting video.

The ROGETI® C32G geared center column is extremely stable, even when raised to its highest point and with its locking knob loosened. This ensures stability during movement, and the difference in damping between ascending and descending is relatively small. When used with a camera or smartphone equipped with image stabilization, the T32MAX+C32G is more likely to produce stable lifting and panning shots compared to other geared tripods.

4. Inability to flip the center column of a geared tripod?

Unlike most geared tripods, the ROGETI® C32G geared center column can be used inverted, allowing for geared adjustments even when shooting at low angles. Its self-locking worm gear structure ensures ultra-low adjustments without the risk of the camera falling.

5. Geared center column cannot be positioned horizontally?

Most geared tripods cannot place the center column horizontally. However, by adding the C32T horizontal adapter, the C32G geared center column can be positioned horizontally above or below the apex of the tripod. This allows for easy horizontal adjustment, including raising and lowering the camera.

6. Plastic worm gear or meshing components?

Many tripods with geared movements utilize plastic parts such as worm gears, pinions, and racks in order to make production simpler and less expensive, as well as to reduce the need for lubricants to avoid oil contamination during operation. However, the plastic components in these designs can degrade over time, resulting in compromised performance and longevity.

The C32G features a stainless steel worm gear, a bronze pinion, and a one-piece aluminum alloy toothed central column, ensuring long-lasting use in harsh environments. Additionally, its excellent design and manufacturing processes enable the C32G to achieve oil-free operation with all-metal meshing.

7 Unsteady crank handle?

Geared tripods often have folding handles to reduce overall dimensions, but this can negatively affect the shooting experience, making it difficult to obtain steady footage.

The C32G center column is equipped with a generously-sized, single-piece handle that makes it more comfortable to use, thereby improving video stability.

8. Hard to precisely control steps in time-lapse photography?

Most geared tripods don't have measurements, which can make it hard to set intervals for time-lapse photography. This can cause the lens to move at inconsistent speeds.

However, the C32G offers a simple way to achieve precise step movement for time-lapse shots. Each division on its handle panel represents 1mm of elevation, making it easy to control changes in elevation. Turning the handle a full rotation raises the platform height by 12mm, corresponding to the clock divisions. This feature makes it easy to make correct elevation adjustments while viewing the screen.

9. Tedious to hold a smartphone or tablet?

More photographers are using tablets or smartphones to monitor shooting scenes. However, most tripods only have a side screw hole, which makes it time-consuming to mount such monitors.

The ROGETI® T32MAX tripod has a custom-fixed bracket that allows photographers to easily attach a tray to hold a smartphone or tablet within seconds. The tray can be removed in just one second and used as a desktop stand. This makes communication with clients or teams during shooting breaks easy and increases shooting efficiency.

Sandfeet are designed for use on sandy or muddy ground to prevent dirt and debris from entering the tripod legs. They can be directly screwed onto the ends of the T32MAX leg sections.

Assembler Center Column Integrator
The ASSEMBLER Center Column Integrator can simultaneously secure the T32MAX tripod (with center column and RG-1 geared head), two additional center columns (or extension columns), and the S20 multifunctional handle. It also allows for quick attachment of a strap for bag-free carrying. Additionally, it includes three sandfeet for use on sandy or muddy terrain. Its compact design ensures easy storage and transport.

Tablet Holder for Monitoring
The Tablet Holder is a quick and convenient accessory designed for the T32 MAX tripod, allowing stable mounting of a tablet or smartphone within three seconds. Removal is even faster, taking just one second.

Once detached, the tray can double as a desktop stand, making it easy to review footage or collaborate with clients and team members during breaks, enhancing workflow efficiency and shooting productivity.

The Tablet Holder includes two mounting brackets (one long and one short) and an L-shaped tray. The short bracket is suitable for most smartphones and tablets, while the long bracket is recommended for larger tablets over 12 inches. Once installed, the mounting brackets can remain fixed for everyday use without the need for frequent removal.

Wrench Kit for Tripod Adjustment
The Wrench Kit is designed to adjust the opening and closing tension of the T32MAX tripod legs and their central connectors. Its capsule-shaped, nested design makes it easy to store and carry. The kit can be disassembled into four wrenches: two large and two small.

The large wrenches are used to adjust the tension of the three legs on the T32MAX tripod, while the small wrenches are for the C328 tripod. If the legs become loose, the corresponding wrench can be used for tightening.
